Friday afternoon ... drive along our sweeping driveway and leave the rest of the world behind.

Guests are welcome to arrive anytime from 3pm and take a moment to wander around our gardens and explore our beautiful spaces.

Settle into your room and start to unwind for the weekend ahead.

A relaxed evening meal of grazing platters and wine will be enjoyed over a good book or good conversation. It’s up to you!

Saturday ... a day of endless possibilities without any element of rush.

Spend the morning however you choose...sleep in, enjoy a few chapters in bed, take a coffee out into the garden or curl up on a cosy lounge, while enjoying a leisurely buffet style breakfast.

Lunch will be served at The Homestead with the fascinating opportunity to hear from an author about the publishing industry. You can then enjoy the rest of the afternoon finishing a chapter or two - or if you are feeling energised a wander into nearby Kyneton for some browsing and fossicking.

Sunday ... slow paced and relaxing to infuse that feeling into your soul.

Spend another morning however you choose... reading in bed or wander around the garden and find a hidden spot to savour the fresh air.

Another leisurely buffet style breakfast will be enjoyed in your own time.

Guests will depart Camp David at 11am, feeling like they have stepped out of the pages of a beautiful book. We encourage you to head into one of our gorgeous little towns to explore the beauty of our region. Perhaps visit one of our delightful book stores on your travels.

Meet Lori and Renee Price...

Once upon a time two girls married two brothers and they became their mother-in-laws favourite family members!

Lori and Renee are sister-in-laws with a shared passion of orchestrating beautiful experiences.

Lori’s family created Camp David Farm in 2007 and it has now become one of the most sought after venues in Victoria. Lori’s extensive experience in event management and hospitality, plus time in her very own cafe in Bendigo, mean she is the perfect host for your weekend away.

Renee is a children’s author and book lover extraordinaire - she can talk endlessly about books, what she is reading, what you are reading and what we should all read next. Through her business ‘Read by Renee’, her days are spent immersed in the literary world and she is delighted to share a weekend with fellow bibliophiles.

Can I come alone or should I bring a friend?

It is completely up to you! Our retreat packages offer you the chance to reserve your own suite, or bring along a friend and share a suite together. We even have a room for a group of four!

Do I need to bring a book?

Not at all! A personally selected book for you will be included in your arrival gift, but you are also welcome to bring along your own reading material, or select from our book library located in both houses.

Do I need to socialise?

Whatever you prefer is fine with us! You can tuck yourself away and read until your hearts content, or you can mingle with the other guests. The time is yours.

Can I bring my child along?

This is an over 18 retreat. Please keep an eye out for future retreats that may include children.
