The once unkempt and overgrown grounds have been completely transformed by Carolyn and her late husband, David. The pair lovingly designed and developed the gardens with the help of a part-time gardener to create one of the most beautiful estates in the region.
After clearing the grounds, the passionate team planted an array of oak trees, hedges, shrubs, carpet roses, elm trees, pencil pines and a sea of David Austin Roses.
Of the original landscape, only one majestic cypress tree and a few gum trees remain. The gardens are now fully established with grand hedge-lined lawns, roses in abundance and flowers that bloom all year long.
This has been a truly remarkable achievement, especially as majority of the work and continued maintenance is completed solely by Carolyn herself.
